“Montessori is very holistic…it’s about a hands on way of learning…so instead of adults saying this is what you need to learn today, instead we’re looking at the child and observing them and seeing what they’re interested in.  So you set up activities that you see they’re interested in.  If they’re starting to post things to each other you say oh, I’m going to make a posting toy.”

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.  Finding balance with technology.  Google …like some other tech giants….fears many of us are spending too much time with our devices…and are sometimes drowning in the continuous flow of news notifications, emails and social media updates.  The company’s Molly VandenBerg…says many people have actually been doing Google searches on the phrase digital wellbeing…

“It starts with awareness.  And so one of the tools that we reference a lot is on our Android devices on your phone, we have a digital wellbeing dashboard.  And that’s kind of your first step because it’s going to show you where you’re spending your time.  What apps you’re really investing in.  Maybe even how many times you unlock your phone.”
