Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.  It has been a long time coming, but the first Arcimoto electric vehicles are arriving to customers in Oregon and California.  They are three wheelers,  two in the front, one in the rear, with two seats, can reach about 75 miles an hour and have a range of 102 miles on a charge.  About the construction, Founder and CEO Mark Frohnmayer says there’s an…

“Upper frame overhead.  Seats and seatbelts for both occupants, plenty of room for two big humans to sit and room for groceries.  It’s really designed around everyday driving, so the types of trips that we all take all the time.”

The price…about twenty thousand dollars.  Frohnmayer is hoping to bring that down considerably.  For now the company is focused on filling the more than four thousand vehicles that people have ordered already.
