It is a digital clock designed to display art or nature or even whimsical videos…all while keeping time with an hourly chime and a digital pendulum. There is no subscription required and the selection for the display seems endless. And now the company has created Klydo Collections in partnership with a variety of artists... VP of Creative and Content Dave Ben-Yshay…

“We’re introducing a premium content model called Klydo Collections which is essentially themed sets of content. It’s about twelve or more animations in a themed set of content that you could download. I like to liken it a little bit to iTunes. So if an animation was a song this would be an album of animations.”

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    A new gadget we’re happy to shed some light on.    The Duracell 300L Tri-Power Lantern is out and offers some pretty amazing versatility.   The brightest setting on the lantern is 3000 lumens.  That’s a lot of light.  And the charging versatility is impressive.   It is USB C rechargeable, features a built in solar panel, or you can insert D-cell batteries for backup.  This is a  Duracell brand after all.  Beyond that…you can plug your phone in for a charge…or use the built in Qi wireless charging pad.   Very impressive…as is the under 40 dollar price.      You might have to hunt around online to find the Duracell 300L, but the search, we think, is worthwhile.  Seems like a pretty bright idea.

Founder and CEO Robert Ashjian says corporate customers can opt to ask job applicants to participant in what Offerday calls Resume Plus…

“This way we’re not doing it to job applicants, setting them up with a bot and saying this is the first part of the process for high volume screening. We’re saying hey, this is an opportunity where you can actually talk to your skills and tell us why you’re a good fit. Think of it as the modern day cover letter.”

Ashjian says AI is playing a bigger and bigger role in the hiring and job search process and while certainly not perfect, it can save lots of time…and it gets better all of the time.

We’ve been checking out the Express 1M2 which in a flash expanded the meager 256 gigabyte storage capacity of a Mac Mini to 4 terabytes. The design, by the way, fits in perfectly with the Mac ecosystem. Founder and CEO Larry O’Connor says it is available as a bare enclosure all the way up to 8 terabytes…and besides being rugged..
