Who We Become

TEDx St. Pete Women

Listen Later

Earlier this month I had one of my favorite experiences of my life: attending a TEDx event! If you follow me on social media or have met me in person, you know that I value memories over things. This is forever one of my favorite memories.

TEDx St. Pete Women was organized by Montrella Cowan, a TEDx Speaker herself (Why We Need To Talk About Grief At Work), and was hosted at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Pete, FL. The theme was The Golden Age of Greatness: Health, Wealth, and Happiness (https://tedxstpetewomen.com/)

Not only did I get to meet each speaker but I was able to see how so many people come together to not only support the speakers who said yes to themselves, but I got to see close up how many moving parts come together to give us the quality talks we get to watch on our screens at home. If you didn't know the difference between a TED Talk and a TEDx Talk, the difference is that a TEDx event is independently organized. Qualified TEDx organizers are able to put their own TEDx event together and I truly believe that Montrella knocked it out of the park with TEDx St. Pete Women!
