Today Kayla and I discussed understanding Shmita from an Eternal Perspective.  If someone asked me how to enter into a formal business partnership with the Kingdom of Heaven, I'd tell them to build their business plan over the principles of the Shmita Cycle. Our Father provides specific instruction on how to spiritually navigate business on a year-by-year basis in the book of Leviticus.

Dear Birmingham Business Leader,

If the market is to 'suffer' a major 'correction' or 'recession' it will most likely happen between now and early October.  January through September 2022 is the last 9 months of what is known as the Sabbath (rest) year.  Shmita or the Sabbath year is the period of a seven-year period ordained by the Lord.     

Consider these recent economic 'downturns' that have occurred in previous Shmita years as evidence to support this forecast:
1966 - Market drops 23%
1973 - Oil crash, market drops 48%
1980 - Great recession, market drop
1987 - US Stock Market Crash 33%
1994 - US Bond Market Crash
2001 - US Stock Market Crash 37% drop, 911
2008 - US Stock Market Crash 50% drop
2015/16 - Crash Alert
2021/22 - ??????
