In last episode of season 1, we discuss anti-asian hate as we ask a series of questions to both of these amazing online communities built by teens. the two featured are the Asian Youth Act (co-founder Ngan Le) & To All The Asians (founder: Makayla Cheng) who are two youth organizations all about educating gen z about the importance of asian lives. This was especially an important episode for us to talk about and share as you all have probably heard about the asian hate crimes that have been happening for the last couple of months, and even years. However they have been getting much worse as more asians in the US have been getting attacked, and even killed. In this episode we cover everything from what we can do to become an ally to the asian community to how this pandemic has made these hate crimes even worse. Make sure to listen to both interviews in this episode to hear what each organization has to say about this important topic that America and the asian community are trying to tattle and stop.

In this episode we discuss toxic femininity, which is basically the opposite of last week's topic on toxic masculinity. This week we talk about the basics around this topic, areas varying from what this term means, how it manifest, comparing it to toxic masculinity, if this is even a real thing, and our host Sharjah's experience with this. We are share powerful messages throughout this episode making sure this 1 hour of your time is worth it! Some other thing we talk about in this episode is some different toxic femininity beliefs, and explaining different traits + how you can support other women and prevent this from happening to you from other women because it can happen.

At the end of this episode our host takes a test on Buzzfeed to see how much of a feminist she will is, and also explains all of her answers (link down below to take test). After that we also looks at some funny memes of toxic femininity to finish off the episode. (FYI they weren't that funny 😁) Make sure to listen to this episode because it has one of the last episodes of the 1st season!

The last thing we discuss that is really important is what you do when you are affected by gossiping, and how to learn, and grow from it. How to become a better person from these hard and traumatic experiences as a teen!

In this episode we talk about social media and the ups and downs of us teens using it and how it can affect teens. We talk about why it's so important in our lives, and why social media is harmful. As us teens need to be aware for consequences of these platforms and how anything that goes on social media and in general online can be used to hurt us in the future if we are not careful. As the fact is that we as teens are so comfortable with social media we think it's always going to be good, but we need to know and be ready for when it could hurt us. Just like an old saying goes "big brother is always watching", but instead of "big brother" it's now "social media is always watching" because we as teens need to be ready for anything including social media!
