I have seen many people hold back from sharing their opinion, contributing to a topic, joining a conversation, or creating content just because they think many people have spoken or are speaking about it already. But this is a wrong way to think.
On this episode of #TeesThoughtsInTransit, I share some points why it’s important to lend your voice, even in a crowded space (or on an over flogged subject).
1. Some people can only hear it from you.
Cos they follow you and don’t follow that influencer that has addressed the subject. Or cos they know you personally. Or for sentimental reasons like how they like your face or accent.
2. There is strength in numbers.
What do you think made movements like #Endsars or #blacklivesmatter strong? It is in the volume of people talking about it. Not just cos people with huge following spoke, but cos everyone spoke. Lend your voice, add your quota, the movement/message is stronger with every additional voice.
One common comment I get on my post and on @lifegivadotcom articles is “I needed to hear this right now”. There is such a thing as “a message in time”. You can be inspired to share something, though common, but needed by someone right now.
Here are just 3 points from all I shared. Listen, subscribe, leave a comment and leave a rating.
This will bless you. Share and tell a friend.
