Tehachapi native Heather Hansen stops by the TehachaPod studio to talk about the four books she has written, 2 for kids ages 4-7, and 2 for teenagers. Heather talks about her growing up on an ostrich ranch in Stallion Springs and how her memories of a child on the ranch inspired her to write these books. Heather also shares how she feels she has written the Rogue Wave series of books and believes its what she would have loved to read when was a teen. She has done a tremendous amount of research to make sure the teen novels are period accurate in this fantasy journey into the 1700's.
