For the first time in history, the Federal Communications Commission officially gets its first woman chairperson, as Jessica Rosenworcel is confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Rosenworcel has been presiding as Acting Chairwoman, but her commission was expiring triggering the need for the Senate confirmation by the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee.
