In today's episode, we talk with Pastor John Cherne, who is over young adults at Grace (18-35 year olds). We talk about students going to both Christian university and secular university, and the unique challenges to each, as well as opportunities that parents and students can take even now before students leave.
We hope this episode has some great insights and reminders for you as parents even if you don't have a senior yet!

In this episode, we interview Dan and Ben Learned, asking them to reflect on Ben's teen years and lessons learned both by Ben and by Dan. This is a great reflection and encouragement to parents who need some empathy as they work through the "growing pains" of raising teens. We hope you enjoy!

In this episode, we're talking with Brenda Garrison, our Director of Women's Ministry at Grace. Brenda is the mom of three adult daughters and is a speaker and author too. The focus in our conversation is how to love our kids when they rebel. Brenda has not just studied this but has experienced it first-hand. Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family, by Paul Tripp
According to the National Center for Education Statistics, for the 1970-71 academic year, the average in-state tuition and fees for one year at a public non-profit university was $394. By the 2020-21 academic year, that amount jumped to $10,560, an increase of 2,580%. This is a cumulative price increase of about 567% during the last 50 years.
What are parents and students supposed to do? The world says "take on as many student loans as you need! Everyone is doing it and you'll pay it off eventually..."
Greg Gipp joins us today to both offer help and hope that we don't need to go into a mountain of debt to achieve the goals and dreams God has laid on our hearts. We have options! And, we can avoid becoming a slave to the lender, which impacts every part of our lives. This is a must-listen for parents and students who are in their upper high school years.
