In course of the ongoing discussions about ski flying for women and if they should get the right to compete for the same medals as the men, I decided to release an interview. I did it with Norway's sport director Clas Brede Bråthen during the World Cup in Oberstdorf. A few sentences might not fit with reality anymore, but the basic message does, for sure.

The sad news of Bjoern Einar Romoeren's cancer diagnosis made the release of this 10th official episode of "Telemark" - Your Ski Jumping Podcast not only more difficult, but also a bit delayed. It will give you an update of his constitution as well as a recap of the four days of COC and FIS Cup in Shchuchinsk, Kazakhstan, which was a world premiere as well as the winners Maximilan Lienher, Gyda Westvold Hansen, Keiichi Sato, Valentina Sderzhikova and Irma Machinya.

The first weekend of competition is in the books! Evgeniy Klimov and Špela Rogelj both claimed double victories at the COC in Kranj and the FIS Cup in Szczyrk respectively and are the first overall leaders. The waiting is (almost) over: The summer season starts this weekend! And so this episode of "Telemark" - Your Ski Jumping Podcast comes with a preview on the COC in Kranj and the FIS-Cup in Szczyrk. Aditionally, we will look on the result of the Czech national championships and sadly on Carina Vogt's injury.

This episode of "Telemark" - Your Ski Jumping Podcast comes as spontaneous as different as to those before. Especially thanks to the very first guest I gladly could talk to. Nina Lussi from the USA surely has not the typical path of a ski jumper, especially by moving to Europe already in her teenager days. We sat down and talked about her time at the famous Skigymnasium Stams as well as coming back from a difficult injury and the general extraordinary life of a US ski jumper. The result is the longest, but surely most interesting episode so far. I hope you will guys will love it as much as we did!

It is Post-FIS Calendar Conference week, so definitely time to go through the decisions. The competition calendars of Summer Grand-Prix and World Cup, rule changes and the election of Sandro Pertile as successor of Walter Hofer as the FIS Race Director Men's Ski Jumping. Last, but not least, we will go through the team nominations of Austria.

Another tough, not to say boring week in the ski jumping universe has passed, BUT: There is hope, folks! From today on, the FIS meets in Dubrovnik, Croatia for its annual calendar conference. The hottest news at the moment are obviously the announcements of the teams for the upcoming season, so we will walk through the squads of USA, Poland, Finland, France, Italy and Germany. Times are still not too busy and news not too hot (man's not hot as well, if you know this meme).
