Tell Me More presented by Major League Success brings you, Tom Knecht, with RE/MAX Apex. Tom has a unique journey to real estate! Tom was coaching baseball when one of his player's dads, mentioned that he should get into appraising. Once he started doing appraisals, friends and family started to reach out about values on their homes or homes that they were inquiring on. With that, Tom decided to get his real estate license to help his friends and family. He grew his appraisal business and his real estate business in the late 1990s and early 2000s and then the market crashed. With that, Tom did a pivot with both of his businesses and pushed through the downturn to come out stronger on the other side. Now, Tom is part owner and Broker of RE/MAX Apex with his friends and family being heavily involved in the brokerage as realtors.

In today's takeaway, I talk about the possibility of a lender allowing two different appraisals on a property, if one comes in short. We also spoke about, what is the next offer term that it is going to take in order to win offers. I believe it is going to be the buyer paying the seller closing fees.
