Telling someone to “not be sad,” “think good thoughts,” or “stop comparing yourself” is not a solution. What we need to do is focus on EXPERIENCES that make us FEEL GOOD. Our society focuses so much on overthinking and overanalyzing and comparing but we don't need to complicate it so much.
We need to take action. Why do we feel good? It’s being authentic, it's what we are doing and the people we’re spending time with… it’s not just our “positive thoughts.”
This is the biggest misconception with manifestation. Think positively and positive things will happen to you. No, we still need to TAKE ACTION. If you wan’t to feel productive, go run an errand. If you want to feel love, go call your family member and tell them you love them. Change your focus not on your current state, but the state you WANT.
