Outgoing CEO Telstra Andy Penn is finishing up his seven-year reign, characterised by a seesawing share price and the NBN rollout, with earnings again growing as he prepares to exit the big chair.

Mr Penn told Liam Bartlett on 6PR Mornings the job was demanding but incredibly rewarding, with customers the focus of its future strategy.
