Aaron, who played golf at Lipscomb University, is currently the caddie for JT Poston.  Poston secured his first PGA Tour victory last year at the Wyndham Championship.

A Georgia native with a business degree from Auburn University, Bill spent six years playing professionally. He played the world’s best golf courses as a touring professional, gained an understanding of club operations and the ability of the everyday player as a teaching professional, and acquired technical design experience under the guidance of noted designer Bob Cupp. Since founding Bergin Golf Designs in 1994, Bergin has combined his strategic instincts and design experience with a dedication to detail in project management.

Bill has left his mark on many golf courses on Tennessee, beginning with his redesign of Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.  Among his original designs are the Lakes and Links courses at Tennessee Grasslands in Gallatin.  He has also done extensive work at Chickasaw Country Club and Mirimichi in Memphis, Fox Den Country Club in Farragut, The Honors Course in Ooltewah, and Toqua in Loudon.

Among his current projects are a 12-hole course in Oak Ridge and redesign work at Richland Country Club and Brentwood Country Club.

Golf House Tennessee Director of Communications Darren Reese spent time chatting with Vanderbilt men's golf senior and 2019 U.S. Amateur runner-up John Augenstein on Tuesday, March 31.

John highlights a lot of topics, including: his U.S. Amateur experience at Pinehurst, getting invited to play in The Masters and having it postponed, his time at Vanderbilt, advice for junior golfers wanting to follow in his footsteps, and lots more!

Tennessee Golf Association executive director Chad Anderson and Director of Communications Darren Reese interview the winningest amateur golfer in TGA history, Mr. Tim Jackson.

Tim has won 23 TGA state titles, including six Tennessee Amateur championships and the 2002 Tennessee State Open crown.  He swept the TGA senior titles last year, winning the Tennessee Senior Amateur, Senior Four-Ball and Senior Match Play championships.

Tim is one of only five golfers to win the United States Mid-Amateur twice.  He has also played in The Masters twice, and was three times the low amateur in the U.S. Senior Open (2009, 10, 11).  He was also the oldest player to ever win medalist honors in the U.S. Amateur, doing so in 2009 at Southern Hills at the age of 50.

The native of Memphis now resides in Williston, Tenn. with his wife Karen.
