As we gear up for the Mediterranean season, this week’s special guest is TWINNS, a duo emerging from the Canadian spotlight and into the international limelight. 

The Canadian identical twin brothers, Kevin and Chris Delgado broke into the scene by being signed to big time Dutch Label Spinnin' Records.

In 2015, TWINNS started out by producing Electro House/Big Room music. The following year, in 2016 brought an evolution of their newly adapted sound focusing production on radio & club friendly tracks, with some groovy vibes to go along with it. This landed the duo a release on Panda Funk Records, a label owned by infamous DJ Deorro.

The Leamington-native duo has performed EDM shows around Canada and were featured on MTV. TWINNS have gathered the support of 70+ countries with over 45M+ music streams and counting. TWINNS has also won the award "Best track of the Year" on the label Ensis Records, a label that features music from the notable artist Kygo.

TWINNS have performed alongside Rich The Kid, Fetty Wap, Loud Luxury, James Hype, Ummet Ozcan, Datsik, Firebeatz, Moti & More.

This week we are in Cannes and Antibes and we feature a special guest mix curated by Holland’s own Morry.

Morry’s journey as an Afro House DJ is a testament to the power of music in uniting cultures. Raised with a deep love for music, he’s transformed this passion into a career that spans the globe. When Morry decided to release and perform his own tracks, he was determined to fuse the global influences he had encountered into his signature Afro House style. His music is about connection. Drawing from his experiences working with artists worldwide, he crafted a sound that resonates with listeners from all corners of the earth.

Today, Morry stands as one of Holland’s most prominent Afro House DJs. His tracks have captivated audiences globally, from celebrated DJs like Diplo, Peggy Gou, and MoBlack, to millions of online listeners and festival crowds. His tunes are a celebration of unity, a bridge that connects people through the universal language of music.

After last week’s break in Martha’s Vineyard, we are back and full on live from our HollyShorts Film Festival first weekend. It’s a big weekend of cinema and music. This week we have a very special mix from QT-HIGH. HollyShorts is honoring Deep Root Tribe and founder Ajamu Kambon with the Afro House Label Maverick Award next week. What better way to celebrate than to have one of the label’s incredible artists with an exclusive guest mix? QT-HIGH, aka Salvador Rizo, is a boundary-pushing multi-faceted producer from Veracruz, Mexico. His track ‘Turbulence’, released via Erick Morillo’s imprint Sondos, reached the top 10 of multiple charts on Traxsource, a digital store made by DJs for DJs. The track even peaked at #3 for the platform’s official Tech Essentials chart. Its follow-up, ‘Percussive’ was featured on Erick Morillo’s Subliminal Summer Sessions 2019 compilation album, and his record ‘Down To The Underground’ has been gaining traction on Deep Root Records.

His debut to Deep Root Underground, the ‘Nibiru EP,’ has garnered half a million streams, with his release ‘Penna’ steadily creeping behind. He remixed ‘Stargazing’ by Nicky Romero and Leo Stannard, released on Protocol Recordings.

These days, QT-HIGH is moving more into melodic and afrohouse, working closer with Deep Root Tribe in collaboration with artists like Kasango, Fo-Dosh, Ryan Murgatroyd, AVÖ, and Arymé.

From his start in life as a child soldier in the war-torn region of Southern Sudan in the early 1980s, Emmanuel has come through huge personal struggles to become a successful and acclaimed recording artist and peace ambassador now living between Toronto, Canada and Nairobi, Kenya. In a career that has spanned 20 years, he has achieved worldwide acclaim for his unique style of Hip Hop and Afro pop with its message of peace and reconciliation.

Emmanuel has now also become one of the most sought after Afrohouse artists globally. He is in constant demand as both a DJ and live performer internationally.

This success has been a result of his unique, signature South Sudanese sound. He has created many original, high profile collaborations including the huge hit “Gorah” (with Nitefreak), released through Diplo’s Higher Ground label, the iconic “Kuar” with Henrik Schwarz/ FNX Omar, “Chagu” (with Moblack/ Henrik Schwarz), “Hey Mama” (Da Capo, FNX Omar,) “Birds” (with Folamour) and “Chaak” (with Bun Xapa) amongst many others. Emmanuel continues to bring a grounded authenticity to his music, emanating from his extraordinary personal experience, emotion and infectious positivity.

He has been nominated for 2 Junos in the ‘Best International Album’ category and has released 7 award nominated studio albums including Shangah (2022), Naath (2018), The Key (2014), See Me Mama (2012), Warchild (2008), Ceasefire (2005), Gua (2005); all of which has seen him reign consistently high on the music scene.
