Tera Kota is the first solo Nigerian to release a reggae album back in 1984. Though his first album was released in 1982, he broke even with Lamentation of Sodom in 1984.

His real name is Gboyega Femi. And he pioneered reggae music way before the likes of Majek Fashek, Orits Wiliki, Evi Edna Ogholi and Ras Kimono.
