Founder of the first Scientific Cannabis Symposium in Spanish in the world “Latino Science Forum –
CienciaCannabica/B2CDigitalSymposiumandExpo”. Astateofthearteventanddigitalplatform
that promotes science, research, and good practices of the analytical laboratory of Medicinal
Cannabis in the Americas. Last Symposium edition in September 2019 gathered 1,500+ attendees
in Bogota, Colombia.
Educator and defender of the Latino legal cannabis industry in the Americas, promotes an inclusive
industry, with gender equality, participatory and collaborative, an integral industry. She works
towards eliminating disinformation, stigma, the gap between science and industry, the work as silos,
biopiracy, little research, few medical experts involved, and the worst thing that Latin-America
becomes just a ‘maquiladora’ region of cannabis.
Carol serves on the Colombian government’s cannabis policy making committee which has the
ongoing challenge to improve the existing regulation, and was instrumental in Colombia’s efforts in
developing medicinal cannabis. Also, Carol has co-wrote the accounting and financial standards for
Colombia, a legislation that converged the country regulations with international standards. In U.S.
Carol has been an active regulator member in Oregon and California, states where Carol ́s input has
been instrumental in law writing and regulations affairs for cannabis recreational legalization
efforts.
In terms of venture capital, she has experience as a consultant for fundraising in start-ups and at
companies in different stages of growth, winner of several international awards in which she holds
the first place in the “fast pitch competition”, space generated by the Portland Social Venture
Society, in order to mobilize capital towards disruptive ventures with great potential and impact.

Also, Carol was the lead researcher in the structure and creation of the largest program of incubation
and acceleration of Latino businesses in the State of Oregon, managing and exiting successfully
various fund directed to support Latino Entrepreneurs in various industries.

Chris earned his Master’s degree in Geosciences from Colorado State University in 2011 by studying soil health in the Rocky Mountains. Chris helps people build sustainable gardening programs in Michigan, including his own family farm. His work speaks for itself. He is a self-starter and proficient in the garden from soil health to cultivation and processing. Country Roots has a desire to help the grower throughout the gardening experience. Mr. Denison is prepared to provide his consultations on the gardening program throughout the season. He can help develop feeding programs, gardening strategies, soil and water testing, pest management and more.

Nydia Zamorano-Torres is a New York City native, currently living in Michigan. With familial roots going back to the 1950´s in Detroit. Where her grandfather migrated from Puerto Rico to work in the steel mills for most of his adult life and her mother, aunts & uncles were raised. Nydia obtained her Bachelors in Science & Masters in Physical Therapy at Howard University, in Washington DC. Where she developed her skills as a physical therapist, and professionally in renowned hospitals like Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC, and Craig Hospital in Colorado. With a specialization of rehabilitation, spinal cord and traumatic brain injury the exposure & experience left her with much to be desired. Something was missing. When faced with her own health crisis she was able to cure herself with the very program she implements with her clients today. Hence, finding it best to step out as an entrepreneur and enter the educator space within the cannabis industry. Daniel Lilly

Passionate about the movement as a whole, Daniel has participated on every level possible in the culture and industry. Starting out as a grower in the late nineties, he has grown and evolved with the industry, eventually becoming a processor and product formulator. He has spent the vast majority of his career developing his craft and understanding of the cannabis plant and all the fruits generated from her properties. He has successfully navigated the legacy markets and has transitioned into the new regulated markets and has operated or consulted for facilities in ten different states compliantly. Daniel currently is the GM and CO- CEO of Cannaline Custom Packaging Solutions, this has been a great opportunity for Daniel to work with growers and processors to build out and maximize their Brand recognition through their packaging.
