Barnabas is one of the greatest hero makers in history, and we owe him for the impact of the Apostle Paul. Barnabas had a unique ability to activate the gifts of those around him. He was someone that built people up, encouraged them, and unleashed them to realize their potential.

The church owes three hero makers for the life and ministry of the Apostle Paul: Stephen, Ananias, and Barnabas. When we follow in their footsteps, we unlock the leadership secret of Jesus. We can multiply our impact when we drape the cape on someone else's shoulders and build heroes out of the people around us. Acts 7 tells the story of Saul‚as encounter with Stephen, a man filled with the Holy Spirit. The beauty and grace of Stephen‚as life and message cause Saul to question his direction and challenge his paradigm. You never know how your life will impact someone else‚as story.

Nehemiah protects the integrity of the building project by acting with personal integrity. He demonstrates concurrency between his message and his actions, and in doing so he builds trust with the people. The payoff of consistent integrity is moral authority, which grants you a platform to influence others.

Nehemiah led a group of refugees to rebuild Jerusalem's walls despite great opposition. This week, we walk through the story to find encouragement to keep building when the project gets tough.

There is a fragile moment right at the beginning of any endeavor, right between dream and activation. This is the moment where many good dreams die. Nehemiah has come to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, and he has to start somewhere. He also knows he cannot accomplish his mission alone. Listen to the story of Nehemiah activating the dream and sharing ownership with others.
