In this episode we listen to the words of June Rikard, a living, walking miracle. This is from a 2006 recording when June spoke to a crowd in Sumter, South Carolina. June and her husband George have been lifelong friends of mine, and if we had a week, I still could not tell you all that June has been through.
June was a marathon runner and amazing athlete whose life was turned upside down after a difficult cancer diagnosis almost 30 years ago. Medical experts can't explain why June is here today after surviving nine cancers, but June most certainly can - in one word...God!
June is here, her life is not perfect, but she is not complaining. She is a superhero and George is her sidekick. June radiates with beauty from the inside out, and you have to see it in person to really appreciate who this amazing person is, and why her story should be shouted from the mountains.
You don't want to miss this one. Gather everyone around you and grab a box of tissues, you are about to be inspired by an amazing woman of faith and courage who knows the power of God first hand.

In this episode, we will be discussing my most recent book, Fearless, Developing a Mindset of Courage. The book was written to provide inspiration and encouragement, and to challenge the reader to make the most of his or her life every day.
If you don't already own a copy I would highly recommend the book. I would encourage you to also order at least one extra copy to give to someone who needs some encouragement in their life.

In today's podcast, we discuss Leadership in times of Stress.
There is a lot going on around the country and around the world right now and most people are wondering where we go from here. In times of trouble, we turn to God and to leaders who help put things into perspective, who look for calm and not chaos.
We need leaders at home, in businesses and in every aspect of life, to step up to the plate, and that's where you come in.
Be a leader today in your home, and wherever you may be.
Until next week...
In today's episode we discuss Power Connections which is where (or who) we go to to get a power boost in our lives. Too many people go to places where there is no power, places, and people who actually drain them and leave them feeling worse than they did before.
There are negative and positive paths for power connections and we need to recognize which paths we are taking when life gets a bit confusing or things are not going the way we expected them to go.
Find positive power sources in faith, family, and friends, and walk away from those things and people who drain you of power.
Seek wisdom and positivity in your life and plug into the things and the people who can help you become the best person you can be.
Power yourself up today!
Until next week...
Disclosure: We are not talking about electricity, but about the power found in faith, family, and friends and pursuing positive ventures which lead to wisdom and a greater purpose in life.
In today's podcast, we discuss how success is defined and how to develop A Mindset of Success in life.
Far too many people are allowing society, media, movies, and 'influencers' to define success for them. Success for so many means cars, houses, and money. Money won't buy you happiness and that is not the kind of success that we are talking about on today's podcast.
Success in life is living a life of gratitude and contentment and being the best person that you can be. We are constantly looking for ways to validate who we are, and people to validate us. We have already been validated by God, so what other opinions really matter? Exactly!
Perhaps today may be a good day to check out the man (or woman) in the mirror. Ask yourself who you are and if you are being the best person you can be.
Success is about touching lives. Success is about connecting (real connections) with people. Success lives on the inside and not on the surface.
Put your mindset of success to work today...You will be glad you did.
Until next week...
Today's podcast (LM48) is titled Coming Out of Your Shell, and as you may have guessed the topic centers on helping those who want to develop a bit more openness and confidence when dealing with others.
Now, this podcast is intended to help those who WANT to project more approachability and friendliness. This is not an attempt to get all of the shell dwellers to come out, although the air is fine out here:)
I am often asked by those I meet to help them in this area, so I wanted to offer some very simple advice on the topic (which is the foundation for all successful human to human encounters).
So, if you are someone who wants to project more openness and friendliness this podcast is for you!

In today's podcast, we discuss The Value of True Friendships.
In this world of social media overload, many cherished words have been hijacked to include the word 'friend'. A friend and a social media 'connection' are two totally different concepts. Being a true friend takes effort, and sometimes a lot of effort. Besides faith and family, a friend should be no more than third in your line of importance.
Don't forget to value your friends and whatever you do, STAY CONNECTED WITH YOUR FRIENDS! Don't give up on them.
Pick up the phone today and call a friend, or better yet go visit a friend. You will be glad you did.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Until next week...

In today's episode, we discuss The Leadership Crisis that seems to be plaguing this country right now. We discuss where the foundation for leadership begins, which is in the home. We as parents need to take great responsibility to raise kids who can make a difference in the world they live in. It all starts at home and the message is clear to mom and dad; 'This one is on us.'
We also discuss leadership within the workplace, and the need to strive for excellence in all that we do.
And to our younger generation, we encourage them to become leaders at an early age, to stand up for what is right and to make good decisions in their lives.
Leadership...Something we need a lot more of.

In today's podcast, we will be discussing communication, which is something that seems to be on the decline in this country both at home and in the workplace.
As a parent, you need to get this one right. There are consequences which will result from a lack of communication with your children. Take communication seriously.
In business, we must communicate, and as a leader, communication is so essential.
Communication...It's a good thing!

In today's podcast (LM-44) we will be discussing This Bumpy Road Called Life and how we react to the bumps and potholes that we encounter. Life is full of ups and downs and there are a lot of people hurting right now around each of us. For some that hurting person may actually be you.
We discuss how our attitude affects us, and how having a positive attitude can help, especially during the trying times. We also give a few suggestions on what we can do keep our moods up, and the importance of helping others.
I hope that whatever you may be going through in your life, that you don't let your circumstances define who you are.
Thanks for joining us today.
