וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר
הַ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥הלֵּאמֹֽר 

 דַּבֵּר֙ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל 

 וְיִקְחוּ לִי תְּרוּמָה.
זֶה שֶׁאָמַר הַכָּתוּבכִּי לֶקַח טוֹב נָתַתִּי לָכֶם  

 Once a passenger aboard a ship, on which many
were traveling, was asked by them: “What kind of merchandise do you possess?”
He answered: “My merchandise is superior to yours.”  

The gematria of mem is
forty. Forty is the number of days it rained upon the earth during the Flood.
Forty is also the num­ber of days Moses spent on Mount Sinai.
