Tested by Fire: Becoming Like Christ Through Trials
Why does God allow us to go through fiery trials? Because we are being perfected and conformed into the image of His Son. Just as Jesus was tested by the devil, by religious leaders, and by the Roman governor Pilate, He overcame every situation not as God, but as a MAN. In doing so, He became the qualified King to sit on God’s throne.
In this episode of Prepare for Jesus Christ’s Return!, we learn that we too must be tested by fire to be prepared for our place in God’s kingdom. These trials are not punishments,they are opportunities to experience Christ as the meal offering, which is mingled with oil (the Spirit) and tested by fire for God’s satisfaction.
When we embrace the fire, we learn to live by Christ, not ourselves. The result? A life that is fragrant to God and prepared for the return of our King.
