This week…the Coaches Poll is here and we weigh in on the top 5.  Then we shift gears to the AFC South. Where do the Titans, Colts, Jags, and Texans stand?  Tennessee brought in Daboll to figure out their young offense.  Indy is mid and don’t see them moving the needle.  Jacksonville is a polarizing team between Massey and G.  And the Houston?  Well they are the clear favorite in this division.  But that depends on whether or not CJ Stroud can improve.

The MLB Trade Deadline came and went with the Dodgers, of course, landing the grand prize of Tarik Skubal.  Is baseball doomed?  Probably not but if LA wins a third World Series, we’ve got a problem.

Could Bronny become daddy’s Executive Assistant in Philly?  Does Harrison Bader hate the San Francisco Fire Department??  Will Ryan Day’s beard show grays???  And can Aaron Rodgers retire already????

Folks, buckle up, the summer sports world's on fire. LeBron's still a free agent, longer than his last three combined, with Miami the favorite but Cleveland, Philly and Golden State lurking.

The World Cup final's still the talk of the town, but nobody's discussing soccer, it's all about the postgame brawl, Argentina snubbing Spain's trophy lift, and FIFA's investigation, with Messi sitting alone watching it all. NFL camps are opening league-wide, the Saints locked up Alvin Kamara, and in golf, Ryan Fox stole The Open while Scottie Scheffler missed the cut as defending champ.

Meanwhile, SEC Media Days wrapped in Tampa, headlined by Ole Miss' Pete Golding using Lane Kiffin's messy exit as a recruiting weapon.

And in the NFC East, every team's got a question mark, Washington leans on Jayden Daniels staying healthy, the Giants are banking on a Jaxson Dart leap, Dallas pairs an elite line with the league's worst defense, and Philly's Nick Sirianni needs his new OC to fix that offense fast.

This week on the podcast, it’s officially Bison Goring Season!  We have the tossing of a grandpa in suspenders, 8 feet into the air, with a flawless dismount.  And he wasn’t even a touron.  Exciting stuff this deep into July.

In World Cup news, we’re down to the final two teams: Spain vs Argentina.  Spain hasn’t allowed a goal.  Argentina can’t be denied.  We’re in for an epic match on Sunday in New Jersey, to crown a champion.  And yes, Donald will be in attendance.  Which team will he jinx?

As for the AFC East, yikes.  The Dolphins are a dumpster fire and the Jets are terrible.  We predict it will again be a Bills v Pats division, but not the win totals we saw in 2025.

Will Kawhi stand trial for Groot-gate in the US or Canada?  Was this the final MLB All-Star game??  Is LeBron going to the Senior PGA Tour???  And will Caitlin Clark run for the presidency in 2028????

This week on the show, we breakdown a big week of World Cup and NBA Offseason.  

Big week on both fronts. The World Cup Round of 32 had some real chaos.  Germany's penalty-shootout exit to Paraguay was the headline upset, and Morocco knocked out Netherlands on penalties as well.  Canada edged South Africa late, Mexico rolled past Ecuador to set up a clash with England, and the USA looked sharpest of the three hosts in a 2-0 win over Bosnia. Belgium survived extra time against Senegal, France cruised behind a Mbappé brace, and Brazil needed a stoppage-time winner to get past Japan. Spain handled Austria easily, staying near the top of the odds board behind France and Argentina.

On the NBA side, the offseason escalated quickly. Giannis-to-Miami was the biggest domino, and it set off a chain reaction: Kawhi Leonard landed in Toronto, LaMelo Ball joined Minnesota in a surprising trade with the Hornets.  But nothing could prepare us for Jaylen Brown to the Sixers.  And not just the rivalry of it all, the fact it was for Paul George.  Paul…George.  The big remaining question is the LeBron decision 4.0.  Golden State looks like the frontrunner, with Cleveland, Miami, Denver, and Philly also entering the chat.
