This podcast series is in response to a “Marriage & Sex” questionnaire that I sent out to men in my network. The answers to the questions were both very enlightening and surprising.

In this 3-part series, Lisa and I share practical things that when applied will greatly improve the emotional and physical intimacy and connection between you and your spouse. 

I firmly believe that when we truly understand our need for it and the spiritual and emotional benefits of having a close, intimate friend, then we will be more intentional in developing that type of relationship. 

Do you have the kind of friend that you are doing life with whom you are able to share the deepest areas of your soul? Whether it's because we doin't see the need for it or just doin't take the time to intentionally go after and develop that type of relationship, many and probably most men dont have that type of person in their lives. For more reasons than one, it's time we make this a priority. 

What are the mosquitos in your life that Jesus is encouraging you to take authority over and deal with?  It's time to stop letting them rob from us. 

Way too often many of us followers of Jesus allow situations to continue in our lives that we really don't have to. Since these situations are so common, we typically do not give them much thought as to if anything can and should be done about them. 

I think it's time we begin to pay attention, discover what provision has been made available, and do something with that provision. 

Too often we unnecessarily allow ourselves to become victims of our circumstances when God has given us incredibly powerful tools that can help redirect our focus and shift our heart posture so that we can more clearly hear and receive what HE may want to tell us concerning our circumstances.

Far too often, especially as men, when we go through a difficult situation, what makes it worse is the fact that we don’t tell anyone, particularly another brother. This usually leads to us suffering alone. I know this isn’t God’s plan. So why do we make it ours? Is it Pride? Fear of rejection?

Is there a battle that you are facing right now…alone? Along with talking to Him about it, I’m thinking Jesus would also want you to talk to a friend who can lend a listening ear, an encouraging word, or a comforting prayer.
