Our fourth episode explores Jesus’ ancestry and his contemporary family. We discuss the purposes and peculiarities of Jesus’ genealogies in Matthew and Luke. The birth narratives about Jesus in Matthew and Luke have both commonalities and differences. This episode explores these and also discusses the unique goals each evangelist had in their description of this monumental event.
