This is the first of two special episodes produced in collaboration with the Data to Business project, in which several company representatives and Jonas Larsson, a researcher in the project from the University of Borås, reflect on the journey to develop prototype Digital Product Passports (DPPs). In Part 1, the focus is on the challenges and current progress in finding and using the data required for DPPs.
Company representatives include: Johan Kullberg (National Sweden), Catherine Aledal (Lindex), Lerche Nielsen (Mos Mosh), Hanne Haslum (BRAV), Signe Marie Bakka Backhaus (Roccamore), Heidi Bøjlesen (HOLMRIS B8), and June Harrild (by Green Cotton). They’re everywhere – in the oceans, in the air, in our clothes, furniture, and everyday items. Microplastics have even been found in our organs. One of the biggest sources of these tiny plastic fragments is textiles. But is it possible to avoid microplastics? And what can we as consumers do to reduce both their presence and spread?
This episode features Maria Persson, Senior Lecturer at the Swedish School of Textiles. The host is Daniel Ekwall, Professor of Textile Management.
