The darker the darkness we see in the world and in our nation, the brighter the light that must be shining. We cannot let the evil we see intimidate us. If God is for us, then who can be against us?

God desires to be so involved in your life He wants to HELP YOU do what you can't do and do what you want to do! He does this so others may know that there is a GOD among us! To do this, we must allow God to work in us. It requires humility.

Knowing God also involves knowing how we desires to interact with us. This week we are focusing on 3 of the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit that He desires to give us for the common good of all people; knowledge, discernment of spirits, wisdom.

There are elements and occurrences in nature that point to who God is and how He desires to interact with us. The function of breathing in oxygen and exhaling holds some great truths!

Many of us know about the gift of salvation that we get when we ask Jesus to forgive us, yet there are many people that don't realize there is another gift...that of the Holy Spirit!

We are beginning a series on understanding the God who calls Himself the Holy Spirit, our companion, our friend, the one who gives us power to LIVE!

If we want to see GOD work IN us and THROUGH us we need to get out of the way. Today, we dig into 1 Peter 2 to see how we can allow GOD to SPOT us and compensate for our short falls so we can see Him expand the KINGDOM in our lives, families, and in our nation!

Part 2 of the vision for 2013 focuses on how we build the kingdom and we start by getting 1st things 1st. Whatever we SEEK 1st will determine everything else about our lives. What do you seek 1st?

It's one thing to KNOW the way on paper, it's another to KNOW the way through experience. Jesus challenged his disciples not to be fake in their LOVE for one another. If they take loving each other SERIOUSLY they world will notice and take God SERIOUSLY.
