Black Hollywood Live had guests from shows/films like 12 Years A Slave, The Butler, America's Got Talent, The Game, Chicago Fire, Believe, Hannibal, Suits, Parks and Recreation, Dallas Buyers Club, Real Husbands of Hollywood, The Best Man Holiday, The View, Shameless, Basketball Wives, Being Mary Jane, Scandal, Single Ladies and many more. Notable guests on the network include: host Wayne Brady, The View's Sherri Shepherd, Late Night's Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyer and others.
The series is a hilarious comedy that follows Cassie (Linara Washington), Holly (Sienna Goines), and Sharice (Apryl Jones) who are three talented actors who can't catch their big break. Feeling “played” by Hollywood, the women clap back and recruit their casting director friend Mabel (Ella Joyce) to put out a fake casting call for a “black female Western” film. What began as a publicity stunt meant to up their social media clout ends up giving them a bit more than they auditioned for.

Family takes on a different meaning in this transformative and inspirational new drama when Scott Perry, a loving father of five, has his entire life’s plan thrown into upheaval by an unexpected health scare. He calls on a few of his most trusted friends to step in as back-up dads to help guide and support his growing family – just in case he ever can’t be there to do it himself. There’s Anthony, Scott’s oldest and most loyal friend; Larry, his tough-love AA sponsee; and Oliver, his dedicated doctor and wife’s dearest friend. Together, they discover that there’s more to being a father than anyone could do alone – and more to being a family than they ever thought possible. The cast includes Sarah Wayne Callies, Clive Standen, Tom Everett Scott, J. August Richards, Blue Chapman, Emjay Anthony, Michele Weaver, Thalia Tran, Steven Silver and Michael O’Neill. The show is inspired by best-selling author Bruce Feiler’s book “Council of Dads.” Tony Phelan & Joan Rater (“Grey’s Anatomy”) will write and executive produce along with David Gould and Jason Wilborn. Aida Rodriguez is an Afro-Latina, taking the world of entertainment by storm with her wit, strong performances and charismatic personality. Making history as the first Latina to appear in two comedy specials airing in one month on both HBO and Showtime, Rodriguez was handpicked by director Taylor Hackford for his film The Comedian starring Robert De Niro. In 2017, Coca Cola Global Women’s LINC Conference sponsored Rodriguez’s speech that modeled a TED Talk. Rodriguez has also appeared on Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show, five-time host of the PBS Imagen Awards, NBC Last Comic Standing’s finals, TRUtv’s Laff Tracks, Nickelodeon Mom’s Night Out and Parental Discretion. Aida’s half-hour special was feature as part of Tiffany Haddish's breakout series They Ready which was executive produced by Haddish, Wanda Sykes and Paige Hurwitz for Netflix. She is currently in development on her half-hour scripted series with Warner Media, for which she will write, executive produce and star in. Haddish, Chris Case and Nastaran Dibai are also on board to executive produce. Rodriguez is also developing an animated series with ITV Studios and Nick Weidenfeld. She will produce her first one-hour special (also with Warner Media) for HBO Max. Aida Rodriguez wears many hats as comedian, actress, writer and mother. Sharing her point of view of the world, she writes comedy that is poignant and incisive. Her audiences often laugh hard, think hard and feel hard as her comedy is cathartic and confrontational. Known as Funny Aida, Rodriguez aims to challenge the norms of today and the discomfort or taboo-quality around controversial topics like race, gender, sexuality and family dynamics through her comedy. From the moment she takes the stage, the audience is engaged whether in laughter or in thought. Rodriguez’s comedy is not only medicine for the soul but it may one day just change the world.

Lanett lives by the motto, “Don’t Wait, Create” and encourages other artists to do the same. Chicago native McKINLEY FREEMAN (Jared) has enjoyed a prolific and varied career. He's perhaps best known as of late for playing "Derek Roman" on the TV series "Hit the Floor". Additional credits include: "Scandal," "Titans," "Into the Dark," "If Loving You is Wrong," "Bones," "End of the Watch," "The Closer," and "NCIS".

Michael Boatman is an actor of great versatility. He is perhaps best known for his six year run on the hit comedy series “Spin City” for which he received two NAACP Image Awards, while simultaneously doing double duty as sports agent Stanley Babson on the HBO series “Arli$$.” Most recently, Boatman completed a recurring role on MADAM SECRETARY, on the Network. Prior to that he did double duty as a series regular on Nickelodeon’s “Instant Mom,” opposite Tia Mowry, and recurred as Charlie Sheen’s best friend on the FX series “Anger Management.” In addition, he had a recurring role on CBS’ “The Good Wife.” Boatman was born in Colorado Springs and grew up in Chicago as the oldest of three children. He studied theater at Western Illinois University, playing major roles in plays ranging from “Purlie Victorious” to “The Seagull” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” He performed at the Kennedy Center in the Irene Ryan National Competition, for which he won the Best Supporting Actor award. After graduating, Boatman was cast as Motown in the film “Hamburger Hill.” It was there that he met lifelong friends Steven Weber and Don Cheadle. Shortly after, he moved to Los Angeles where he starred in the award-winning ABC drama “China Beach.” Following that series run, he starred in “Muscle” opposite Alan Ruck and then moved on to the much-loved series “Spin City” for six seasons. Over the years, Boatman has recurred on shows such as “The Larry Sanders Show,” “Living Single,” “The Jackie Thomas Show,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Sherri” opposite Sherri Shepherd. Boatman has appeared in numerous movies for television, including “In the Line of Duty: Street War,” the PBS special, “The Trial of Bernard Goetz” and ABC’s “Once Upon a Mattress.” Boatman’s feature films include the lead role of J.J. Johnson in “The Glass Shield,” “Woman Thou Art Loosed,” “Bad Parents,” “Peacemaker” and Sidney Lumet’s “Running on Empty,” among others. His theater work includes “Master Harold and the Boys” at the Roundabout Theatre Company on Broadway starring opposite Danny Glover, “The Glass Menagerie” in San Francisco and “Tiny Mommy” at Playwright’s Horizons. Most recently, Boatman starred in San Diego’s Old Globe production of “Robin Hood!”
