Just giving my take on what the body cam footage actually means as it pertains to the prosecution of Derek Chauvin. The charge of Second Degree Felony Murder is not an "over charge" as Mr. Shapiro puts it, and the body cam footage changes nothing.

Warning! This episode deals with potentially triggering and upsetting topics. Please watch at your own personal discretion. Description below. A few notes: The date in question is the day before the publishing of this episode. After I recorded, I took a while to contemplate on if I really wanted to share it or not. I also didn't give too much in the way of detail. At this point in time I don't think detail is necessary; as I say in the video, more than anything I'm trying to give a little piece of my experience because I think sometimes these experiences shape our views of the world.

As parents, our kids are about to face a unique challenge. Let's make sure we're equipping them for success rather than making excuses.
Today I share some thoughts on how comparing apples to oranges is holding us back as a society.
In part 2, Jessica and I discuss what we both still need to learn in order to successfully take on this crisis of racism in our country, and how confronting our own biases is one of the keys to doing that.
