Just the two of us... One of those episodes you’re either going to relate to, learn from or simply think “what the **** are these people on about?
We asked our listeners to send in some examples of things they wish they knew about sex, periods and relationships when they were younger and BOY WAS IT ALL RELATABLE. It’s not until you have these conversations as an adult that you realise: we all lived very similar experiences.
We hope you enjoy this weeks episode. You can find us on IG at: @thatbloodysexpodcast
In this episode, Kathryn and Kasey reminisce on their experiences of period education at school (spoiler alert: it's not positive), discuss the impact of poor menstrual ed and what, in an ideal world, we should be teaching young people when it comes to period health and well-being.
TW: female genital mutilation, non-consensual surgery, and medical abuse. Prepare to be absolutely appalled in this weeks episode.
This week, we are joined by Sarah B. Rodriguez who is a medical historian focussing on the history of clinical care and the history of clinical research. Sarah teaches at Northwestern University in Illinois, USA and is a published author. You can find many of Sarah’s academic articles across the internet (which Millie HIGHLY recommends) and Sarah’s books which are ‘Female Circumcision and Clitoridectomy in the United States: A History of a Medical Treatment’ and ‘James Burt: The Love Surgeon’. We hope you enjoy!
Hey! We’re back! We can’t apologise enough for our extended hiatus, but now we’re back for good. On this episode, we are joined by the GORGEOUS Pheebs Jameson (@fatpheebs) to discuss online abuse, fatphobia and so much more. This is such a treasured episode for us, and we hope you enjoy!
The sound quality for Millie in this episode is rather, we apologise for this also.
Apologies for the terrible sound quality on Kathryn she had some technical difficulties! It will be back to normal next time.
WE'RE BACK! We took a little hiatus but here we are again! This time in a Millie-and-Kathryn-only episode, they answer questions submitted by listeners. Some funny, some serious and some down right tude! It's a juicy episode with embarrassing sex stories, what the hymen is and what it has to do with virginity (hint: nothing!), and menstrual cups!
This week, Millie is joined by Laina Cores - SH:24 Young People's Award 2020 Winner and the National Director of student led charity Sexpression:UK. Such a fun and fantastic episode if you're interested in everything relationships and sex education or if you're intrigued to know more about Sexpression:UK.

Happy New Year, and welcome the first episode of 2021! This week we talk to Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, Tiffany (@gynaegirl on instagram). We cover; different types of painful sex and what to do about it; how to get GPs to take vaginal pain seriously; whether menstrual cups can affect your pelvic health, and you can join in with our pelvic floor exercises!
This week Kathryn spoke to June-Anne from Black, Broke and Anxious Podcast all about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). They compare their symptoms and treatment experiences, support they received (or lack of!), discussed racial bias in health care and Kathryn told the story of that time she ruptured an ovarian cyst!
If you've been living with PCOS for years, you'll relate to some of our stories. If you're newly diagnosed, you'll learn something new. And if you don't know what PCOS is and what to dive in, you'll certainly do that here!
Millie and Kathryn truly have an emotional rollercoaster this week! They talk about the lessons we've learn from our exes - the good, the bad, and certainly the ugly! Some of the juicy goss: why you should never let a boy touch your bra on a bunk bed? How Kathryn found out who Akon is? Our worst relationships (but most important lessons), and yet ANOTHER poo story!
