That Broadway Show

Welcome back to That broadway show. A podcast where we focus on a show and let it drive us mad.

Today we will be focusing on the show Beetlejuice! A show all about death.... literally. Kelli did make her own podcast on this so I will link it below.

Either way count: 10 But I could be wrong....

New episodes every Wednesday

Sorry for being gone for so long we had to focus on many other things building up in life and sadly had to put this back to the side. We are still growing but since corona, I can focus back on this station for a bit.

Kelli and I had a blast listening and punning around with the musical Waitress. Join us as we find a way to bring cringe into your heart every second of the way.

Waitress:

Waitress is a musical with music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson. The musical is based on the 2007 film of the same name, written by Adrienne Shelly. It tells the story of Jenna Hunterson, a waitress in an abusive relationship with her husband Earl. When Jenna unexpectedly becomes pregnant, she begins an affair with her gynecologist, Dr. Jim Pomatter. Looking for ways out, she sees a pie contest and its grand prize as her chance.

Summary of show

(Thanks to www.guidetomusicaltheatre.com)

Once On This Island is a captivating legend of romance between a peasant girl and a rich city boy whom she saves from death. This calypso-flavoured re-telling of The Little Mermaid opens on a Caribbean island where villagers comfort a little girl with the story of the orphan Ti Moune, destined to love too much for the human heart to bear. Staged with minimal props, sets and costumes, Once On This Island delivers melody, love and joy in tropical abundance.

We are digging into the short 14 min musical 21 chump street. Join mimi as she basically blows her mind out in understanding why love is such an evil thing that leads you into doing stupid things.

Summary of 21 Chump street:

21 CHUMP STREET is a cautionary tale of a high school honors student who falls for a cute transfer girl. He goes to great lengths to oblige her request for marijuana in the hopes of winning her affection -- only to find out his crush is actually an undercover cop planted in the school to find drug dealers.

In this podcast we dig into the musical "The Hunchback OF Notre Dame" Please enjoy listening to mimi and her LAME HUMOR. and join her as she get confused and forgets how to basically speak English as she digs into this musical.
