As women we must take back control of our bodies and not allow doctors to dictate everything. We must know what is necessary and what is not. Just because that's what a doctor was taught doesn't make it right. We all have the right to "Informed Consent" and unfortunately i did not receive that.

It was important for me to document this journey given the maternal mortality rates for African American women. My goal is to educate and bring awareness as it specifically relates to pregnancy and the postpartum period. I've learned so much about pregnancy & postpartum (still learning) and i want to share what i know. In May of 2018 i made one of the hardest decisions of my life i took a leave of absence from my full time job of 13 years. After 12 weeks of leave on September 17, 2018 i quit! 

In this episode i share my story as to why i quit and what lead up to me making that decision along with how my cleaning company Infinity Cleaning was formed. 

Fear held me back for a long time and i truly believe that everything that happened was meant to happen. God made me very uncomfortable in order to walk and live in my purpose.

In this episode i discuss my thoughts on doctors and prescribing pills to treat symptoms instead of actually coming up with a cure. Our bodies are  made to naturally heal themselves and with the proper diet we can achieve optimal success within our bodies. I urge everyone to take the time to do your own research before taking an antibiotic that will only temporarily correct the issue. 

God made the herbs and plants for us to heal ourselves. Know when a doctor is necessary and how to properly discern a "pill pusher".

The biggest question after a pregnancy loss is "When & how fast will i get pregnant again. I became so consumed with getting pregnant again and trying to replace what was taken from me i forgot to "Live". 

My suggestion is to live, let go and have a good time. Your rainbow baby will show up in divine timing and most importantly on God's time. 

take it from someone who knows and save yourself from the stress you will cause.

Grief was the worst part of our loss. We had to learn to communicate and process our feelings. In this episode i share how we dealt with our grief and my recommendation for those dealing or who have dealt with a loss. Please seek help when needed you are not alone.

October is a special month for our family as it's Pregnancy loss & awareness month. We honor the three children that have gained their wings as well as many others. For the entire month of October i'll be dedicating every podcast episode to pregnancy loss & awareness. There's a soon to be mom that received the awful news, a soon to be dad trying to cope, soon to grandparents who's dreams were taken away. I am one in 4 and i'm here to share our story in hopes of helping someone else. You are not alone.
