A man watches a holy man repeatedly save a scorpion from drowning, only to be stung each time. When he questions the saint's actions, the holy man explains that it is his nature to help, just as it is the scorpion's nature to sting.
This story highlights how all of us are governed by our inherent tendencies and desires, shaping our personalities and actions. Our likes and dislikes can drive us unconsciously, causing a constant battle within ourselves.
Yet, turning to meditation can guide us back to our true nature, connecting us to a higher light. Ultimately, whether we act like a saint or a scorpion, we are simply expressing our nature.
