There’s just something about the relationship between boys and their moms, especially when you are the youngest like me. As a young boy, my mom was my protector, provider, my biggest cheerleader, and she was the one who also dried all my tears.   In this episode, I'd like to share a few stories about her.

Brace yourselves, my friends.  It's an election year.  It just might be a bumpy few months, but not long ago I found glimmers of hope scattered through our neighborhood.  Perhaps we all can be spreaders of hope during what can be a very divisive season.

I was not exactly what you would call "Mr. Social" growing up.  In this episode, we'll trace my social journey from the kindergarten playground all the way to my marriage proposal.  Along the way, we just might find a few parallels to our spiritual journey as well.

Truth can be found in so many different places in our world if you are willing to take the time to look for it.  I was reminded of that as I watched the Academy Awards last Sunday Evening and Ryan Gosling stole the show with his performance of the song, "I'm Just Ken."  We'll take a look at the role of Ken and the parallels between the Barbie Movie and the Bible in this episode of That Just About Sums it Up.

Chaos with water flying everywhere to complete calm in a matter of seconds is not something that happens every day.  It did happen once in my dorm hall at Baylor University and almost got me kicked out of school.  It also happened with much higher stakes just over 2000 years ago.

My Father was a giver of good gifts and provided a beautiful home for our family.  In many ways, he reflected our Heavenly Father.  On his birthday, it was good to take time and remember that.

You belong here.  That's the message I received from the first Savannah Bananas baseball game I attended.  But, is that the same message we get when we walk into Church on a Sunday morning?  It's a question worth asking.

Christmas Eve 2016 was a night I will never forget.  It truly was a Holy Night.  This is the story of my friend, Tod Bush, a life well lived, and the gifts of hope and life.  My prayer is that you would consider sharing this special episode with a friend who needs to hear it this Christmas.
