What are you allowing you to say about you and to you?
//
Uhhhh what?
//
Imagine that every second of every day you have a special little companion next to you
//
All he does is stand there and talk, talk, talk
//
Let’s call him Ted
//
Ted tells you things about the world around you, about yourself, and what you should do
//
Everyone knows that this is like the voice in your head
//
But I ask you to imagine it that way for a reason
//
Take that analogy a step further
//
How would you want Ted to talk to you?
//
What if Ted was constantly telling you how stupid you are?
//
Or that you don’t deserve to be happy?
//
Or that he hates you?
//
What if Ted always gave you reasons why you wouldn’t succeed, why you should stop trying?
//
This is a powerful analogy because most of us would NEVER let someone talk to us that way!
//
Imagine the negative effects that would have on you with that constantly in your ears…
//
Yet, for some reason, we allow OURSELVES to do that exact thing!
//
How messed up is that?
//
Ok, so let’s imagine the opposite
//
Ted is now rooting for you in every way imaginable
//
He tells you how awesome you did on that last project
//
He coaches you through that mistake you made earlier today and says he knows you’ll do better from now on
//
He’s always telling you how proud he is of you and how he knows you’re going to achieve everything you set your mind to
//
Wow, that feels pretty good right?
//
Imagine, all day long, hearing positive stuff like that
//
What could you accomplish with THAT kind of Ted by your side all day?
//
When you really think about it, how many people PAY to have someone coach them like that??
//
This is the true power of self-talk
//
When you master the things you tell yourself day in and day out, success is inevitable
//
It’s like having a coach by your side helping you through the tough times, cheering on your wins, and leading you to the championship
//
The real question is this: How do you master your self-talk?
//
Well a great place to start is with the exercise at bit.ly/theONEexercise
//
Remember, master your self-talk & success is inevitable
