That Was Unnecessary episodes

  • Masters of the Universe

The TWU crew discuss a real acid trip of an 80's flick that was based off a cartoon, based on a toy line. If that's not enough to sell ya, here's the plot synopsis (in response to early feedback from previous episodes):

On the planet Eternia, Skeletor and his dark army overthrow the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull expecting to acquire her power. He-Man, his old friend Duncan "Man-at-Arms" and his daughter Teela are attacked by Skeletor's soldiers and they defeat them. They also rescue their prisoner, the inventor and locksmith Gwildor. He explains that he was lured by Evil-Lyn who used his invention, the Cosmic Key, to open the gates and seize the Castle Grayskull. He-Man and his friends retrieve the prototype of the Cosmic Key trying to release the Sorcereress but they are defeated by Skeletor and his army and Gwildor uses his key to open a portal for them to flee. They come to Earth but lose the key. Meanwhile, Julie Winston, who grieves the loss of her parents in a plane crash, and her boyfriend Kevin Corrigan find and activate the key, believing it is a foreign musical instrument. On Eternia, Evil-Lyn locates the Cosmic Key and Skeletor sends her with a group of mercenaries and soldiers to vanquish He-Han and his friends and bring the key back.

  • Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

The TWU crew discuss their first sequel that came out years after the originals. (A true"childhood ruiner".) Where we discover that it not only inspired a popular video game map, but also set the stage for the ridiculousness in future "Fast and the Furious" sequels. Please listen and subscribe. Shia would want it that way.

  • Revenge of the Nerds 2: Nerds in Paradise

The TWU crew discuss/talk some smack about the sequel that stripped away any of the charm of the original and continues the story of a group of nerds who are truly horrible people (perhaps worse than the actual "antogonists" of the movie). Listen and Subscribe, Tiny.

  • Rocky V

The TWU crew discuss the most depressing entry in the "Rocky" series. The film in the series that got real about CTE (sort of) and had some pretty messed up behind the scenes details that no one really talks about now a days. This ain't no pie eating contest.

  • The Karate Kid Part III

The "That Was Unnecessary" guys discuss the third installment to the "epic" trilogy about a reluctant Japanese war hero still trying to teach some idiot kid martial arts. Including behind the scenes facts, trivia, and other stuff people do on movie podcasts.
