For what do you feel a real sense of urgency? Is it to proclaim the Word of God? John writes that Jesus 'had' to pass through Samaria... and while doing so he spoke the Word.

Notice again the last verse of John 3 - those who believes (πιστεύων) in the Son have eternal life, but those who disobey (ἀπειθῶν) shall not see life. in the words of D.A. Carson, John has put before us the only two alternatives, genuine faith and defiant disobedience. Will you be submissive to the Word?

Do you understand John 3:16 as a verse that comes to us in a context, or as a 'stand alone'? What if these are John's words explaining what Jesus just said to Nicodemus, since it begins "For..." When Jesus told Nicodemus that he had to be 'born again,' what all did that entail?

If your body is 'God's temple' (1 Cor. 3:16-17), is it possible that Jesus wants to stop by for a cleansing, just as he cleansed the physical temple in John 2:12-25?

What is the real meaning behind Jesus changing the water into wine? Was it just an act of concern for a family about to lose honor and be shamed? Or did it point, as the first of the 'signs', to the transformation that would take place on another 'third day,' which is also available to us... new life?

How do you understand the call of Jesus to "Follow me"? Do you realized that it is a call to a way of life... not just eternal life?

In Genesis 22, Isaac asked his Father Abraham, "Where is the Lamb?" John the Baptist answered the question when he said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world."
