That's a Good Point

In the season 3 finale Dion, Irv, and Jon rank their top television show theme songs that contain lyrics.  Because the list was difficult to narrow down, the fellas ranked a list of 10 songs ahead of time.  Marnie was able to join the gang again to provide her insight into the songs and the rankings.  There were some definite surprises in the final order that some Poin'ers will no doubt take issue with.  In the end, there was a quick game of start one, sit one, cut one with characters from the show whose them placed first.  FYI: definition of schlock: cheap or inferior goods or material; trash.

This week Dion, Irv, and Jon discuss the best Fast Food French Fry. The fellas took a trip around the city sampling french fries, taking notes, and stopping at every red light in town. If you’re a connoisseur of potatoes fried in oil, you will hopefully enjoy this take on which fast food establishments cook up the best version.  After the rankings, there was some good discussion, time for a start one-sit one-cut one with different methods of potato preparation and Irv made sure everyone knows the 2021 Trilogy Challenge has not been forgotten. Dion, Irv, Jon, and special guest host Marnie discuss the best movie soundtracks.  They narrowed it down to what they called a "compilation" or "various artist" soundtrack.  Some criteria for soundtracks were that these needed to be songs from multiple artists, couldn't be a musical (where the songs are part of the dialogue and the plot), and couldn't be songs by or about a specific band (a la Help! about/by the Beatles, Walk the Line about Johnny Cash, Bohemian Rhapsody about Queen, etc.). Once the rules were set it was still hard to narrow it down to a list of seven to rank, but the group was able to do so in an entertaining fashion.

This week's episode was recorded a few months ago with the idea that if the fellas got busy, they'd have an episode "on deck" to upload for all of you Poin'ers.  Well, we're busy, so here you go...

Dion, Irv, and Jon rank some of their favorite places they've had breakfast.  The list excluded chain restaurants and the ones they did rank had to be close to their home of Earlham, Iowa. Even though the fellas hadn't been to some of these restaurants more than a handful of times, they had put in their research by trying multiple dishes and keeping meticulous notes.  They definitely look forward to expanding their research and perhaps updating this episode.  There was time for a quick game of start one, sit one, cut one with quick breakfast options.
