As we delve into Matthew 27:19-26, Jesus is standing before Pilate as the grand priest is seeking to gain the authority to have Jesus Christ put to death.

Picking up at Matthew 27:1-18, we look at what happened when Jesus stood before Pontius Pilate to determine if Jesus is to be executed. We also look at what happened when Judas Iscariot regrets betraying Christ.

Continuing in Matthew 26:58-75, we pick up in the story after the arrest and now look at the trial of Jesus before the high priest as well as the apostle Peter's denial of Christ.

This episode was recorded three days before Christmas so it would seem odd to continue our studies with Matthew 26:47-56; but given the reason that Jesus came was to die for our sins, it makes sense to look at the betrayal along with His arrest, and the remaining disciples fleeing the scene.

Today, as we continue in Matthew 26:36-46, Jesus and His disciples go to the garden at Gethsemane for a night of prayer to prepare for the sacrifice He is about to make.

Continuing in Matthew 26:26-36, Jesus and his disciples have their last meal before the crucifixion. In what is known as The Lord's Supper, He illustrates the spiritual significance to His upcoming death and its relationship to the rest of the world.

Today we start in Matthew 26:14-25 and go through the betrayal when Judas Iscariot bargains to sell out Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. We will examine the two minds or the two paths from which we have to choose.

Continuing in Matthew 26:1 -13, Jesus tells His disciples that it is almost time for Him to be crucified. The incident when Mary, Lazarus's sister, anointed Jesus with expensive ointment.

Continuing in Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus continues telling the events of the End Times. Upon His return, He rewards those who followed righteousness and punishes those who did not follow.

Continuing in Matthew 25:19-30, we look at the Parable of the Talents. Here Jesus tells how the Kingdom of Heaven really works .
