Kelly has reached a milestone birthday, and we’re taking a few moments to reflect on the wisdom we’ve earned in almost two centuries of living. Among the four of us. And we’re back! Welcome to Season 3 of “That’s What We Said.” With some false stops and starts as we struggle once again with faulty internet and remembering our own names, we’re ready to catch up. A lot has happened during our hiatus, including the controversial opening of a mega gas station in our community. Some of us have begun traveling for work again, and we have some stories from airports. Boy, do we have stories. “That’s What We Said” is like spending Saturday evening on the porch with your friends, sipping a glass of wine and shooting the breeze.

It’s once again time for some Kentucky politics on the pod! This week, we’re excited to interview Mae Suramek, candidate for the 89th district Kentucky House seat. It’s just a few days until the election here in Madison County, and we’re talking to Mae about running for office, running a business, and starting a new podcast about the experience of Asian Americans in Kentucky.
