The couple's old trainer back in the day used to preach the gospel of pre-workout cannabis, claiming it opened your arteries or something. Adam never fully bought in. Pris is a believer.

Adam thought 4/20 was a police code for marijuana possession. He was wrong. Pris looked it up (again, AI at the table, we're living in the future) and delivered the actual history: back in the early 1970s, a group of San Rafael high school kids called The Waldos used to meet at 4:20 PM after school to search for a rumored abandoned cannabis crop. The code "4:20" spread through their circle, caught on with Grateful Dead fans, got picked up by magazines, movies, and eventually the internet, and became the globally recognized holiday it is today. Adam's mind was blown. Also — 4/20 is Hitler's birthday. That's a fun little buzzkill fact Adam brought up at the end. You're welcome.
🚬 Smoking Alone vs. Together
For Adam, weed used to be a solo, introspective teenage thing — figuring yourself out, internal philosopher hours. As an adult, it's become a social activity, like drinking used to be. Speaking of which — Adam and Pris made a conscious choice to trade alcohol for cannabis as their primary vice. The crossfade incident that finally sealed it: a night out where Adam had taken an edible, then started drinking, went cold and sweaty, lost all color, had to step outside, and they had to leave early. That combo just doesn't work for him. Pris's reason was simpler: hangovers and weight gain. Cannabis won.
💨 Rolling, Dabbing & Bitch-Ass Lungs
Pris recently learned to roll her own blunts using leaf wraps she found at Blazin Susan — complete with a ceramic tip instead of the old cardboard filter. She YouTube'd the technique. It worked. Mostly. Adam has self-diagnosed himself with "bitch-ass lungs" and can't smoke correctly despite having smoked cigarettes for 20 years because he takes full cigarette drags instead of the half-breath technique Pris keeps trying to teach him. They're planning to set up a proper dab station after the move.
🥣 Bonus Tangent: The Great Cereal Debate
Pris's favorite food is cereal. Her go-to is Lucky Charms (the kids steal the marshmallows), with Raisin Bran Crunch as a current rotation staple. Adam is a pizza man through and through — his first word, his first steps, his longest relationship. Pizza has never failed him. Specific pizza places have failed him. But pizza itself? Never.
