• Name it – What fear or anxiety is on your mind right now? Speak it honestly to God.

• Re-frame it – What story are you telling yourself about your situation? How could you retell it in light of God's presence?
• Step out – What one small act of courage can you take this week, even if you feel afraid?
• Catch your thoughts – What "track" plays on repeat in your mind? // Bring it under Christ's truth in prayer.
• Worship in the storm – Anxiety tells you your problems are bigger than you, but we worship to declare God is bigger than our problems!

Identity Series: How do I deal with guilt & shame / not letting shame become our identity.

1. Zacchaeus is up a tree to see Jesus. But Jesus tells Zacchaeus to come down. In the end, Jesus goes up a tree (on the Cross of calvary) for Zacchaeus.

   What stops us from allowing Jesus to deal with our shame in our place?

2. The Paralysed Man and the Bleeding Woman (both Matt 9) are healed. Jesus forgives the man and commends them both for their faith. As a result, onlookers are amazed.

   How is your testimony of Jesus lifting you from shame, pointing others to Jesus?

1. Peter calls believers a "chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession."

   What does each of these descriptions reveal about your identity in Christ?

   How does this contrast with how you might naturally see yourself?

2. The word holy (hagios) means "set apart."

   In what ways has God set you apart from the world?

   How can this understanding reshape the way you live and make decisions daily?

3. Peter says we are set apart "so that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."

   What does this verse teach about the purpose of our identity as saints?

   How does praise and witness flow from a holy identity?

4. Peter's language is collective — "a people belonging to God."

   How does our shared identity as saints shape how we view the church community?

   What would a community that truly lived as "a holy nation" look like in Tower Hamlets?
