Main Passage: Nehemiah 11:1 - 12:26
Katie spoke from Nehemiah 11:1-12:26, on the repopulation of Jerusalem; a holy city, a holy people and a holy God. It's a great reminder that God has knows where his people are at all times, and has a diverse design for the city.
Take a moment to reflect and give thanks for how Jesus redeems the manmade efforts of the altar with the cross, the covenant with his blood and the temple with his body. We have access to holiness daily because of what Jesus did.
Katie encouraged us to think about whether we are in this place by chance or by choice, how might you make steps to choose to invest in the spaces you occupy, including THCC?
Be encouraged that we need people in all areas of the city, you are doing redemptive work, carrying the hope of Christ into your spaces. No role is more important or impressive than another. How might you seek renewal in your day to day? How does your perspective need to shift to see your spaces with a holy perspective?
God has a design for cities - take some time and ask him to show you your role in this one.
