It's Monday, and Mike ( and hopefully) C.J. are in the studio. The guys will recap a busy weekend in sports. This was a weekend that featured two kinds of horsepower, with the Kentucky Derby and all three NASCAR Series being contested. Please join us.

We will have two first-time guests in the studio from Riverhead (L.I.) Raceway. Kenny Southard runs a Modified in the Vintage Division. He is also featured in the new 2018 Outro for the show, Our other guest is Figure 8 veteran, Bob Dalke.  He doesn't know how often he will run this year because he just opened a new business, but he could join the ranks of drivers who miss Opening Night but bring the car out later in the season. After a trip to Talladega (with a pit stop to a local hospital to get his appendix taken out), Chris Creighton and his Co-host, Craig Moore, are back in the studio. The guys will welcome two drivers from the Nesmith Steet Stock Series, Chad Winkles, and Hunter Runions. Winkles, 35, has been racing for 18 years, 10 in Open Wheel, 3 in Late Model, and 3 in Crate.Now in his second season in the Nesmith Street Stocks, the Alabama resident already has four wins to his credit in 2018. Runions, 20. is also in his second year in the Nesmith Series after starting in dwarf cars at 15 and moving on to Mini-stocks.

We will be welcoming long-time racers but first-time guests into the studio. Artie Pedersen, Jr, heads up Checker One Motorsports, a team composed of his sons, Artie Pedersen III and Alan. The team has worked their way through the ranks, running a Late Model, Legend cars, and a modified.The team has also been honored to be New York State Champions in the Legend Division. This season, they will campaign Legends and a modified at Riverhead Raceway. Sal Accardi, Jr. also comes from a racing family, His dad raced back in the day, After walking away from the sport for a time, Sal strapped in again in 2017 and will run the full modified season at Riverhead. Two racing families with rich tradition. Please join us.

Racing is known as a family sport. This week, the guys welcome a very special father/son team into the studio. Derrick McGrew Jr has been racing Go Karts since he was 4 years old when he won the first race he participated in. He has since won 124 races and 10 Track Championships racing all over the country. He has now been invited to participate in the 2017 Kids Royal in Australia. The Kids Royal showcases the top Jr drivers from the country. Derrick will be the first American to compete in the Sub Jr division at the Kids Royal.  Your hosts, Chris Creighton and Craig Moore, will turn over the entire show to this speedy duo and allow them to lay out their unique opportunity in great detail.
