The 14:12 Podcast

Today, I had the pleasure of interviewing my brother on how to be a Christian baseball player. These are things I wish I would have taken ahold of during my playing career.

God breathed into Adam to bring him to life. In the same way, Jesus breathed on his disciples in a prophetic act that released the Holy Spirit into them for new birth. Man is alive again and has the restoration of value, purpose, and destiny through the blood of Jesus and the power of his resurrection!

The authority (exousia) that Jesus gave his disciples in Mark 3:14-16 has been given to all who believe on Him today. What will you do to steward that authority to bring glory to Jesus Christ?

There are many ways we can take in Scripture, and I talk about three of them here. 1. Read 2. Listen 3. Watch — Listen to the episode to hear more about each one!

On today’s episode, we are going to talk about the call of Jesus to be with him and the resulting sending that disciples of Him are to experience. We must respond to His call and learn from Him before we ever will be sent as representatives of Him. The scripture for today is Mark 3:13-15 (NKJV)—“And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted, and they came to Him. Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him, and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons.”

For day one of my 30 Day #TannerTalks Verse Challenge, I want to share something I learned today about finding rest in Christ and how there are two tiers to His rest. There is the initial giving of rest by Jesus when we come to him, and then there is the rest we find through pursuit of God and believing Jesus’ words and aligning our lives to match what He says. I pray this blesses you and that Holy Spirit speaks to you and increases your wisdom and revelation on this passage. Bless you!

The Lord is inviting us all to enter into His blessing which comes through obedience to His word. We were created with a purpose, and that purpose is to reflect God every moment of our life. Jesus’ life isn’t meant to condemn us; Christ lived to show us what is possible when a man or woman fully submits their life to God and perfectly reflects God’s heart to people everywhere. Be blessed with this short talk today.

On this episode of The 14:12 Podcast, I want to share with you a sermon I preached last night. I believe this message to be absolutely foundational to Christian life and cannot stress enough our need to grab hold of this reality and run with it if we are going to see a move of God in our homes, workplaces, cities, states, and nations.

Happy Easter weekend! It's such an amazing time of year as we reflect on all that happened because of Jesus. We are now privileged to grow up to be just like Him! How amazing!
