Psalms 40:1-2 NIRV
I was patient while I waited for the LORD.
He turned to me and heard my cry for help.
2 I was sliding down into the pit of death, and he pulled me out.
He brought me up out of the mud and dirt.
He set my feet on a rock.
He gave me a firm place to stand on.
Patience by Tris No H
Patience is almost as important in your walk-through life as consistency. Patience is defined as the capacity to accept or tolerate delay. Remember I told you that the delay is not God preparing the blessing for you, but rather preparing you to receive the blessing.
When I am patient, I don’t allow myself to pace back in forth in my mind, worrying about the end that God established before I was ever even born. I know that everything works out for my good, because I trust my God and I am happily allowing Him to work out His purpose through my life.
When I am patient, I am not watching the clock saying OK God it’s been 7 minutes, 7 days, 7 months or even 7 years, where is the blessing? No I trust God’s perfect timing and focus my mind on the last assignment He gave me. If you can’t remember the assignment its probably things you still have left unfinished.
When I am patient I am not walking around in a bad mood, I am happy and filled with good cheer because I know that God is never late.
This is Tris No H, reminding you that patience may just be the lesson God needs you to learn while He is preparing you for the blessing. Chew on that.
Peace
