It’s the beginning of mock draft season here at The 2-pt Conversation. Matt and Brian are joined by cohosts Ryan and Boyd for a run through their just for fun projections for the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft!

Being a Colts fan over the last decade has been relatively miserable. Ask Matt, who has seen the highest of highs, and lowest of lows, especially over the last 5 years. On this “What If”?, Matt and Andrew run through the last 3 seasons and discuss what kind of effect that Luck could have on the the Colts. Would the Colts and Luck achieve that long awaited Super Bowl win? Or would a Luck-led Colts suffer the same fate as the current trajectory?

It was an exciting day of news, as Matt Ryan was traded to the Colts, several other QB’s found homes, Urban Meyer found himself back in the headlines, and Matt and Brian run through every team’s biggest positional need after Week 1 of the new NFL Season!

A pivotal trade in 1999 helped set 2 teams on the path to greatness in the early 2000’s. Marshall Faulk was shipped from Indianapolis to St. Louis after 5 seasons, and opened the doorway for the drafting of Edgerrin James by the Colts, and The Greatest Show on Turf for the Rams. What happens if that trade never happens? Whose career does it effect? Who does it benefit?

Surprise! The week was so wild with signings and trades, that Matt and Brian felt the need to address the biggest moves with an extra episode. They discuss the Bills going “all chips in”, the Davante Adams trade to the Raiders, Deshaun Watson going to Cleveland and the ramfications from that, as well as touching on the other movements across the league.

Matt and Andrew pay tribute to the great Pat Summerall in this week’s NFL History episode! Pat defined his era of broadcasting, with and without the late John Madden, and became the voice of a generation of football enthusiasts.
