Three past and current Project | U participants join us to share their stories, the impact the spirituality portion of Project | U has had on them, and why that has inspired us to create the next iteration of the program: Project | U Unbound.
ABOUT PROJECT | U UNBOUND
Project | U Unbound is a guided soul-changing experience for business leaders and spiritual seekers.
Project | U Unbound is the next iteration of the Project | U full-immersion leadership coaching program designed by Adam Hergenrother after over 15 years of deep work and learning, hundreds of hours of classroom preparation, and thousands of individuals coached and led to become a more peaceful, fulfilled, and true version of themselves.
We created Project | U Unbound for business leaders and spiritual seekers who have reached success on the outside and still feel like something is missing in their life. We're going to dig into the tough questions about our inner worlds, the ego, the mind, energy and emotions, our spiritual lives, and much more. While never forgetting that we want to learn, work, and play in the external world too!
This year-long program combines weekly group coaching calls with quarterly in-person events in Vermont to help you get and give anything you want in life by mastering your inner world first.

Hallie and I continue our conversation on free will, diving into the concept of transcendence. We discuss how beliefs are shaped by experiences and perspectives, the idea of absolute truth, and how the ego can influence our perception of the world. We talk about the difference between willpower and free will, the effects of transcending beliefs, and the role of determinism. We explore the idea that beliefs are fine, but transcending them is really where the clarity and forward momentum lie, and knowing that can help us not label everything as good or bad, but enjoy just having the experience. Are you in charge of every decision you make, or are you merely a puppet on the strings of the source of consciousness? This week, Hallie and I played around with the concept of free will, and whether we have it or if our life is already predetermined. This is a topic that comes up quite often when people wonder if they are on the right path in life, or when they seek the answer to whether or not they are doing what they are truly meant to be doing. Our aim for this conversation is not to be right, but to encourage people to think about life and our choices in a new way. We discuss the differences between determinism, fatalism, and free will, and how our choices may have more to do with past experiences than we think. Hallie and I explore the idea that there may be a predetermined destiny, but we still have the power to make choices along the way. See full show notes.
Despite what some may think, the goal of leadership is not about getting what you want or controlling others. In fact, leadership is an action that requires a lot of listening and doing tough inner work. This week, Hallie and I talk about how to lead with and without a title and the character traits required for both. We talk about the upside of being a good leader and how it impacts the whole organization, how a great leader knows when to listen and let others lead, and a few of the signs that leadership might not be for someone depending on their expectations, and their ability to surrender and communicate their vision. As we continue our series on wealth, we recap that being rich doesn’t necessarily mean being wealthy. It’s especially important to have conversations around money and wealth in this changing economy, which is affecting people’s habits and earnings, and to become aware of your own thoughts and feelings around money. Hallie and I openly discuss the money messages we got growing up and how this information can free you from limiting beliefs and help you gain greater awareness and understanding. It’s okay to play in the outside world, but you’ll gain more clarity when you do the inner work and really sort through your relationship with money. See full show notes.
There's never a bad time to talk about building wealth. But too often, we get stuck in the cycle of searching for “rich” instead of “wealthy.” This week, Hallie and I talk about the fundamental differences between being “rich” and “wealthy” and how to make powerful structural changes in your life that help you achieve a financial future that aligns with your true self (and not your ego!). We also dive into why it’s important to live on a percent of your income, as well as the “CEO” concept that can help you optimize your spending. See full show notes.
This week, we discuss what samskaras are and how stored energy can prevent you from having the purest and most unadulterated experience of life. Hallie and I talk about what exactly samskaras are and why we store them. We discuss the difference between samskaras and memories and how to release energy in a way that allows you to open up to the present moment. See full show notes.
“Hey, good for you. That’s awesome.” It’s a phrase we often both say and hear, but do we really always mean it? And if you don’t feel like something is truly awesome, are you being disingenuous by saying it is? This week, Hallie and I break down why saying “that’s awesome” can be an incredible tool, and how we can use it to observe what comes up in our emotions, mind, and outer reality. We talk about how to reframe your inner dialogue to enjoy life’s experience even for the seemingly less awesome things in life, and how that subtle shift will help you play checkmate with life.
Hallie and I kick off this week talking smoothies and skiing, and then launch into a powerful question posed by a Project | U member — what expectations are holding you back from experiencing life? We discuss how every day is an opportunity to let go of expectations that block you from seeing your reality, how many of us are living a false life, and what Eckhart Tolle drinking Starbucks has to do with you leveling up and playing big in the game of life. See full show notes.
In Part 3 of this three-part series, we replay a presentation I gave at a two-day event called “Thrive, Not Survive.” During this series, I address three main topics that will help you not only survive in your business but thrive in this uncertain market, regardless of what business you’re in. In this episode, we define the 200% life, which is made up of 100% of your inner world, and 100% of your outer world. We cover how to deal with the mind and view it as a well-meaning but often annoying roommate, and the real way to play checkmate with life. When you’re at a stage where you can need nothing and truly enjoy everything, you will thrive in every moment, no matter the circumstance. See full show notes.
