21st Precinct radio programs were aired between 1953 and 1956 starring Everett Sloane in the first episodes, followed by James Gregory and then Les Damon. The 21st Precinct in New York City is the area between Fifth Avenue and the East River, and although it is a bit less than a square mile in size, was patrolled by 160 police officers, 11 Sergeants, 4 Lieutenants and Captain Frank Kennelly, the star of the show.
