1. The Book of Enoch, is it a good book, bad book, or just a book? Every time I read through Jude I wonder about this book that Jude references. Do you think Enoch wrote it, and does it add helpful insights?

2. Are there categories of sins or is all sin the same? (for instance Paul says sexual sin is different, and in the Mosaic Law of the OT God calls for different sacrifices for different sins, and Jesus says that on the Day of Judgment it will be worse for some than for others)

 Follow up: If there are categories of sins should we give special emphasis to combatting certain sins based on severity or prevalence?

3. I’ve enjoyed the Chosen video series and appreciate that it was added to the church app. I didn’t grow up in church and always assumed the Bible heroes lived at an almost superhuman level. The Chosen seems to help fill in the gaps between stories and shows the disciples and Jesus as very human. What are your thoughts?

1. Weekends are typically two days of leisure break from work and/or school. Exodus 20:8 tells us to keep the Sabbath holy. In Isaiah 58:13-14 God promises wayward Israel blessings if they will again honor this holy day and seek God. Are we honoring the Sabbath and keeping it holy by coming to church and recreating the rest of the day or should we have additional intentional acts or focuses for ourselves and our family on Sunday to keep a focus on honoring our Lord and recognizing the holiness of the day?

2. In Hebrews 11, Samson is mentioned amongst men of great faith, but when I think of Samson, I see a life of consistent disobedience to God’s commands. What would you think of Samson if you met him today? What can we learn from his life?

2. In John 3:5 when it mentions being born of water and spirit, is this referring to baptismal regeneration or does water refer/mean something else?

 3. In Proverbs 18:24 is it that a person with many friends “must show himself friendly” or “will come to ruin”? I’ve seen it translated both ways

1. When the Bible talks about a coming new heavens and new earth, is the new heavens referring to space or where God lives? 

2. How did the Jewish leaders explain the temple curtain being torn in Matt. 27:51?  With the size of the curtain it presumably would have taken a long time to remake as they couldn't have just stitched it up since it must be one piece of fabric. So likely there would have been questions?  Also it's interesting that we have the detail the curtain was torn top to bottom so likely an eyewitness one of the Priests or the High Priest going and telling it happened?

 3. We studied the names of God, specifically Yahweh (Hebrew). But as we continued to study variants on that name it was, for example, Jehovah shalom. Why that Greek/Hebrew combo instead of Yahweh shalom? (Hebrew/Hebrew)
